Stanley H. Gladych Sr.


Stanley H. Gladych Sr. 91, of Plainville, Conn., passed away Tuesday May 27, 2008.

He was the husband of the late Anna L. Gladych. Born May 8, 1917, in Plymouth,

Stanley was the eldest son of the late Anthony and Anna Gladych.

Stanley was a longtime resident of Plainville,
where he was a valued member of the Knights of Columbus and an usher at Our Lady of Mercy Church.

He was a wonderful and devoted husband and father, a world traveler, skilled craftsman and passionate gardener.

He was founder and co-owner of the Circle Spring Co. in Plainville, which made springs and small metal parts.

Stanley was also a member of Chippanee Golf Club for many years.
He was an excellent golfer and won numerous pro-am golf tournaments.

Stanley leaves three children, three grandchildren and a great-grandson: Stanley H. Gladych Jr. and his wife, Rita Gladych of Stonington,
Joanne Gladych Bellantoni of Natick, Mass., and Richard Gladych and his wife, Judith Ainley, of Burlington.
His grandchildren are: Michael Bellantoni of Natick, Mass., Rebecca Gladych of Stonington and
Stanley H. Gladych III, his wife, Paula Gladych, and baby Anthony of Denver, Colo.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 2, 2008, at 11 a.m. at

Bailey Funeral Home, 48 Broad St., Plainville, CT 06062

Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
Burial will be held immediately after the service in St. Joseph Cemetery, Plainville.
Additional calling hours will be held Sunday, June 1, 2008, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
